The school of business administration and management started with one course – Diploma of Business Administration and Management and currently the school is operating both full time and Long distance learning program. 

The students will specialize in Accounting, Marketing and Human Resource Management in their third year of study.

Program Description

The DBA programme is designed to train and equip students with the skills that suit the needs of the ever changing business environment.

The courses offered in the programme aim at equipping students with leadership and management skills to enable its graduates to competently manage modern business enterprises with better prospects.

The BBA programme provides an opportunity for students to select from three specialized areas namely; Finance & Accounting, Marketing, and Human Resource Management

Entry Requirements

To qualify for admission fro a Diploma of Business Administration and Management of KCC, one must have attained the following entry requirements: –

  • Secondary school certificate to be passed atleast 60%
  • A pass in Maths, English, Commerce / Accounts at S.4 
  • Recommendation letter from his/her pastor
  • A candidate who obtained a certificate in the relevant field can join the Diploma program  

Objectives of Curriculum

  • To impart foundational knowledge: Ensuring students understand the basic concepts and principles of business administration
  • To develop practical application skills: Equipping students with the ability to apply key business administration concepts to solve management problems in service organizations
  • To foster IT competence and use of computerized applications for business: Developing students’ knowledge and skills in information technology and use of systems relevant to business administration practices.
  • To enhance analytical and decision-making abilities: Enabling students to interpret economic and accounting data to make informed financial decisions
  • To cultivate research and problem-solving skills: Preparing students to conduct business-related research and analyze information using analytical tools and problem-solving skills
  • To provide comprehensive understanding of business organizations: Ensuring students understand the functions and management of business organizations.
  • To develop entrepreneurship skills: Preparing students to analyse their environments and start preparing syudents to analyse their environments and start their own businesses within their communities. 

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates will be able to:

  • Explain the basic concepts and principles of Business administration
  • Apply key concepts of Business administration skills to solve management problems in service organizations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills in information technology and use of business applications such as QuickBooks and Tally.
  • Interpret economics and accounting data, relevant financial services and use the information to make decisions. 
  • Conduct research relevant to business and analyze information by using analytical tools and problem-solving skills.
  • Describe the functions and management of Business Organizations institutions

Specializations and Career Prospects

Graduates can exlore an array of leadership positions and other eadvanced roles in private, public, and non-profit organizatons. 

You’ll have the option to work across industries as; a business analyst, human resources manager, Accountants, marketing specialist, sales manager, procurement and logistics officers and venturing in to into entrepreneurship.
