Diploma of Theology

Program Description

The Theology program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for effective ministry and Christ centered leadership in today’s world.

By fostering a supportive and immersive learning environment, the college empowers its students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application to help the students acquire the necessary skills needed in their various professions and Christian faith. These enables the students to shepherd the communities to grow in the Christian faith and to improve their living conditions

Entry Requirements

A Student must satisfy the following entry requirements.

1.South Sudan Secondary school certificate to be passed at 60%

2.English to be passed at least at 60%;

3.Recommendation letter from his/her pastor.

4. A candidate who obtained a certificatevin the relevnt fiels can join the Diploma program.

Objectives of Curriculum

To train and nurture theologians who;

  • Are patriotic and use the law to protect the South Sudanese community from any form of prejudice and injustice;
  • Are technically competent, critical thinkers and effective communicators;
  • Understand the social, political and economic foundations and perspectives of Ministerial Theology;
  • Appreciate the role of Ministerial Theology in human development proces
  • Bear responsibility for the Church, national heritage and have a practical and intellectual interest in nation building;
  • Understand how technology interacts with theology;
  • Have integrity and are committed to service beyond self;
  • Understand and appreciate the values of human rights, theology, sustainable development and norms of governance.

Learning Outcomes

The Bachelor of Theology programme aim to provide knowledge and insights in to;

  • Understanding human nature from a theological perspective, including the spiritual dimension that defines humanity’s relationship with God
  • Interfaith dialogue and cultural understanding. Graduates will engage respectfully and knowledgeably with people of diverse religious and cultural backgrounds
  • Ethical decision-making. Learners will make morally sound decisions grounded in Christian ethics and theological principles
  • Appreciation of cultural sensitivity and diversity: Graduates will be able to respect and value the rich cultural diversity within the church and society.
  • Effective church administration and Christ centred leadership for nurturing the church and contributing to nation building.
  • Technology and Theology Integration: Graduates will understand and apply the interaction between contemporary technology and theological practice.
  • Understand how technology interacts with theology;
  • Patriotism and Social Justice: Graduates will actively promote and protect justice and equality within the South Sudanese community, understanding relevant laws to combat prejudice.
  • Technical and Intellectual Competence: Graduates will be critical thinkers, effective communicators, and technically skilled in theological studies and ministry.

Specializations and Career Prospects

Graduates can explore an array of leadership positions and other advanced roles in church, private, public and non-profit organizations. 

You’ll have the option to work across industries as; counsellor, social worker, politician, educationist, church administrator.
