Bachelors in Theology (4 years)
This intensive course is offered to students with a diploma in Theology or a Bachelor’s degree in a different subject. The secondary school certificate should have at least 7 subjects passed. In this program, foundation courses are offered such as Academic English, study skills and basic computing. A large number of courses is aimed at presenting students with the knowledge and skills to lead churches and parishes effectively. Topics include biblical knowledge, church history, doctrine, preaching, conflict and peace building and various aspects of ministry and pastoral care to different groups in church. At the end of the program, students can be recommended for ordination.
Diploma in Theology (3 years) (Full time)
This intensive course is offered to students with an adequate command of English. The secondary school certificate should have at least 5 subjects passed. In this program, foundation courses are offered such as Academic English, study skills and basic computing. A large number of courses is aimed at presenting students with the knowledge and skills to lead churches and parishes effectively. Topics include biblical knowledge, church history, doctrine, preaching, conflict and peace building and various aspects of ministry and pastoral care to different groups in church. At the end of the program, students can be recommended for ordination.
Certificate in Theology (2 years) (Full time)
This course is aimed at those students who wish to obtain more knowledge and skills in the field of theology, so that they can serve their local churches in a better way. Students who enrol for the certificate program need to have obtained a pass of at-least 50% – 59% in their Senior Four (4) South Sudan School Certificate or its equivalent in Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE). In this course, students are taught English, basic biblical knowledge, and practical skills that are needed for providing pastoral leadership within a church. At the end of the program, students can be recommended for ordination.
Lay-readers training in Bari (1 year)
Twice a year, lay-readers come to the college to receive training in knowledge and skills they need as lay-readers. When they return to their churches, they have gained more competence with regard to the practical matters they need to handle, such as preaching, leading and pastoral care. People who do this training and have not yet been commissioned as lay-readers, will be commissioned at the end of the training.
